Bronwyn

MEd, BEd (Hons), RGN, ONC, RCNT, RNT, Cert Ed.

Bronwyn Delbridge began her nursing career in Orthopaedics. She has worked as a Senior Nurse in various specialities.  Bronwyn was Senior Lecturer at the University Of Huddersfield, where she delivered courses in Neurosciences, Accident and Emergency and Orthopaedics.

She is Course Tutor for the British Casting Certificate Course and lead Educationalist for the FRC as well as Educational Advisor for OTA having an active role on the Steering Group. Bronwyn is the current Chair of OTA.

Chris

BSc Hons, RN, PG.Cert, Dip HE, Ortho Tech Cert

Chris Wardman is currently Clinical Operations Manager with Westcliffe Health Innovations, Chris has over 25 years’ experience of Orthopaedic and Trauma, having worked as Sister, Matron and Clinical Manager in Orthopaedics- Chris is co-author of the first UK published research into Focused Rigidity Casting and responsible, as part of a team of trainers for the introduction of this technique into the UK. She also introduced the first Nurse led Trauma clinics into the UK, provided input into the RCN Casting Standards document, and had a number of articles published in predominantly orthopaedic literature. Chris is also a tutor on the Bradford BOA Casting Certificate Course and an Associate Lecturer at Bradford University. Chris is a long term season ticket holder at Bradford Bulls. She is currently Treasurer of OTA.

Angela

Angela McBride has been practising in Orthopaedic Nursing for over twenty years. She gained her Diploma in Adult Nursing (1995), ENB 998 (2003) and the BCC (2010).
Angela was the Deputy Manager of a very busy elective Orthopaedic clinic and developed a clinical interest in the management of diabetic Charcot foot, the Ponseti technique for club foot and spinal casting.
However, her main area of interest has always been in limb reconstruction. She has worked alongside Professor Thomas at the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke on Trent for over 14 years and has instigated and developed the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist. She was also a member of the consensus group which formulated the RCN Guidance on Pin Site Care (2010).
Angela has been a member of the OTA steering group since 2010 and was elected Vice Chair in 2015 She thoroughly enjoys being a member of OTA and supporting Bronwyn and the OTA team in organising the Annual Conference and helping with the OTA Journal.
